Training and Education

Supporting others’ learning process is one of my number one passions, and I feel grateful to have had opportunities to work with a wide range of groups and organizations. I started my teaching career in psychology graduate programs, and from there I branched out to provide trainings to educational institutions, medical systems, grassroots organizations, non-profits, startups, and the corporate sector. Frequently requested topics for training and consultation include:

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) from a trauma-informed, intersectional, anti-oppression lens with integration of IFS and somatic approaches

  • Gender identity and gender diversity, awareness and inclusion of trans and/or nonbinary communities

  • Sexual orientation diversity, awareness and inclusion of LGBQ+ people/communities

  • Eating disorders, food/body concerns, and healing from diet culture

  • Intersectional body liberation

  • Navigating cultural differences in relationships

  • Clinical and ethical challenges of managing dual/multiple relationships in small communities

  • Creating and maintaining healthy boundaries

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) - I am an approved IFSI consultant and can support those who are seeking certification hours.

“Dr. Chang is an exceptional trainer. They excel at teaching therapeutic materials in an efficient, relational, intersectional, compassionate, and social justice manner. I learned a lot from them and the space felt respectful as a genderqueer person of color. My clinical skills and comfort using new therapy models have improved as a result of their trainings and consultation. “
