Individual Therapy for Adults and Adolescents
Individual therapy is a collaborative process that can help clarify your goals, heal from difficult experiences, let go of maladaptive coping strategies, build positive coping skills, improve relationships, and become more present overall in your life. I start individual therapy by assessing what you would like to accomplish, your strengths and challenges, and what approach would be most effective in our work together. Depending on your needs, our work together may vary in terms of level of structure.

Relationship Therapy and Coaching for Couples and Multiple Partners
My work with people in relationships is aimed at fostering healthy and meaningful connections. One of my specialties is helping single people who desire a relationship to clarify what they are looking for, change unhealthy relationship patterns, and make better choices. When working with couples or multiple partners, I aim to help people improve communication, set boundaries, resolve conflict, recognize and get out of destructive patterns, and better understand where their partners are coming from. I utilize an active and solution-oriented approach which often requires between-session assignments.

Group Therapy and Skills Training
Group therapy can be a great way for you to interact with, get feedback from, and support others who may be dealing with similar issues. If you are interested in a group, please inquire as to what groups I may be running. Past groups have included: DBT skills training, DBT-based eating disorder groups, transgender support groups, life transition groups, and groups for psychology graduate students.

Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessment can be a useful tool in describing current cognitive and emotional functioning and identifying treatment needs and recommendations. I do not perform psychological assessments with people with whom I have established an ongoing therapeutic relationship. Because the purpose of testing varies greatly for different individuals, I require a thorough clinical interview and often consult with the referring party before testing begins. When I am done with my assessment, I will write a written report and review the findings with you. I am always considerate of what testing results may be used for, and I do not interpret results without considering contextual or cultural influences.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation
One of my main interests is training and mentoring other mental health professionals. I provide clinical supervision for therapists in training, as well as professional consultation to other licensed professionals. Consultation may be brief or ongoing. I am especially interested in helping therapists develop authentic and socially conscious ways of doing therapeutic work.
