LGBTQ 201: Inequities, Harvard Medical School, February 2017

Posted by on December 13, 2016

On February 27, 2017, I will be speaking at an event hosted by Harvard Medical School’s Center for Primary Care and Office for Diversity Inclusion & Community Partnership in Boston.

“LGBTQ Health 201: Inequities” will explore the health inequities faced by the LGBTQ community, highlighting the role of adverse childhood experiences as well as stigma and discrimination and using an intersectional lens. We will discuss the implications of these inequities in clinical care, as well as innovations in clinical care (e.g. harm reduction, trauma-informed care case examples, and informed consent).
